UPDATE: Silver Alert cancelled
UPDATE: Indiana State Police say the Silver Alert issued for Robert Charles Currie has been cancelled at the request of the Jay County Sheriffs Department.
ORIGINAL STORY:
A statewide Silver Alert has been declared for a missing Portland man who is believed to be in extreme danger.
The Jay County Sheriffs Department is investigating the disappearance of Robert Charles Currie, a 53-year-old white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 185 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue wind breaker jacket, plaid shirt, and blue jeans. He has multiple tattoos on his chest, back, arms, and knees.
Currie is believed to be driving a red 2002 Kia Sportage SUV with Indiana plate XTJ552.
Robert is missing from Portland and was last seen on Saturday, April 13 at 8 pm. He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
