Yelich Powers Brewers Past Reds for Eighth Straight Win

Despite a promising start, the Cincinnati Reds dropped their series opener to Milwaukee 3-2 Monday night as the Brewers extended their winning streak to eight games.
Elly De La Cruz and Spencer Steer each delivered RBI hits in the first inning, but Christian Yelich launched a solo shot in the third to give Milwaukee the lead for good. Cincinnati threatened late but couldn’t crack the Brewers bullpen.
The Reds (28-31) will turn to Hunter Greene tonight to try and even the series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 from Great American Ball Park.
