Trinity Lutheran Volleyball Claims Historic State Title with Sweep Over Faith Christian

The Trinity Lutheran Cougars captured their first state championship in school history, sweeping Faith Christian in a dominant performance on Saturday at Ball State University’s Worthen Arena. Winning in straight sets, 25-12, 25-10, and 25-19, the Cougars showcased their strength and teamwork, seizing the Class A state title in commanding fashion.

Trinity surged ahead in the first set, breaking an 8-8 tie with a decisive 12-0 run fueled by Addie Darlage’s aces and Madison Keith’s three kills and a block, pulling the Cougars to a comfortable lead. The set was capped by a Faith Christian net infraction, closing it at 25-12. In the second set, Trinity jumped to a 6-1 advantage with an ace from Maddie Adams and never looked back, securing the set at 25-10 after a series of well-executed plays.

Despite trailing 16-12 in the third set, Trinity rallied with clutch kills from Carson Bowling and Rachel Bonde, regaining control and eventually sealing the championship with a kill from Darlage. Keith and Bonde led in kills with seven each, and Adams added four aces to the Cougars’ relentless attack. This historic victory brought home the first state championship for the school, marking a high point for the Trinity Lutheran community.
