Reds Ride Friedl’s Firepower, Beat Braves 4-3
The Cincinnati Reds got a much-needed win on Wednesday night, defeating the Braves 4-3 in Atlanta. TJ Friedl provided the early fireworks with solo homers in the first and third innings. He now has three home runs on the season.
Starting pitcher Hunter Greene was dominant early, striking out six over three scoreless innings before exiting due to a groin injury. Brent Suter earned the win in relief, while Emilio Pagán locked down the ninth for his ninth save.
The Reds, now 19-19, ended a four-game losing streak and will look to split the four-game series Thursday night when Nick Lodolo takes the mound.
