Red-Hot Reds Complete Sweep, Extend Win Streak to Four Behind Singer Gem

The Cincinnati Reds delivered another masterclass of pitching and timing Sunday, topping the Tampa Bay Rays 2–1 to complete a three-game sweep and push their win streak to four. The victory lifted them to 56–50, their highest mark in weeks, and put serious momentum behind their playoff push.
Brady Singer responded to criticism from earlier in the week with his sharpest outing yet: 7⅓ innings of one-run ball, allowing only three hits, walking one, and fanning eight. His control and poise under pressure helped keep the Rays off balance.
Offensively, the Reds jumped on Shane Baz early with two first-inning runs. Following a misplay by Taylor Walls, Austin Hays scored from second on an infield hit by TJ Friedl. Friedl later stole second and scored on Gavin Lux’s groundout, making it 2–0.
Walls would connect for a solo homer in the eighth, his fourth of the year, but it wasn’t enough to overturn Cincinnati’s edge.
Tony Santillan worked around trouble in the eighth before Emilio Pagán slammed the door with his 22nd save in 25 chances.
With Tampa Bay falling to 18–55 since late June and losing their seventh straight road game, Cincinnati continued asserting itself as a force to be reckoned with down the stretch. Their defense was crisp, the bullpen locked in, and their bats delivered early when it mattered most.
