Pacers Pull Away Late to Clip Wizards for Fifth Straight Win

The Blue and Gold are heating up at the right time. The Indiana Pacers made it five wins in a row with a 104-98 home victory over the Washington Wizards Tuesday night, and it was veteran leadership and late-game execution that sealed the deal.
Pascal Siakam was dominant down the stretch, finishing with 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Tyrese Haliburton orchestrated the offense with 22 points and some timely buckets in the fourth quarter. Bennedict Mathurin added 17 as the Pacers put together another complete performance on both ends.
The Wizards hung tough for most of the night, tying the game at halftime despite managing just 13 points in the second quarter. But Indiana’s defense held firm late, and the offense came alive when it mattered most.
Clutch threes from Aaron Nesmith and Myles Turner, including a dagger from Turner with under a minute left, helped put the game on ice.
Now at 48-31 and holding a strong grip on the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference, the Pacers turn their attention to Thursday’s showdown against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse—a potential first-round playoff preview.
