Olympians Stumble at Bloomington North
The Columbus East girls soccer team ran into a Cougars squad that pounced on every opportunity Wednesday evening. Bloomington North defended their home turf with a 3-0 win, keeping the Olympians grounded after an energetic start to their season.
East goalkeeper Cara Veach was under siege but stood tall, recording six saves and showing plenty of fight between the posts. Despite her efforts, the Olympians (1-2) couldn’t quite launch an attack strong enough to counter the Cougars’ consistent pressure.
While the scoreboard wasn’t in their favor, East continues to sharpen its skills early in the campaign. With plenty of soccer left this fall, the Olympians will look to adjust their flight path and soar higher as they move forward.
