Olympians Girls Soccer Storm Past Indian Creek in Coaching Debut
The Columbus East girls soccer team started the 2025 season with a statement — and a goal explosion. In Grace Manning’s debut as head coach, the Olympians rolled past Indian Creek 6-0 at BCSC Soccer Complex.
The scoring started almost immediately, with Natasha Armstrong cleaning up a rebound just 90 seconds in. Armstrong would finish with two goals, while senior Sophie Glick added a goal and two assists. Cecelia Pollert, Emma Christie, and Hannah Weidner also found the net in a balanced attack.
East dominated possession, outshooting Indian Creek 29-3, with 18 shots on target. Christie and Cara Veach combined in goal for the shutout, as the Olympians left no doubt in their season opener.
For a program that struggled to score a year ago, the performance was a breath of fresh air — and a reminder that the Orange-and-Brown are hungry to flip the script in 2025.
