Olympians Face Ranked Challenge at Batesville

Taking on one of the top teams in Indiana is never easy, and the Columbus East girls golfers got a taste of elite competition in a 151–214 defeat at No. 9 Batesville.

Abby King led the charge with a solid 47, while Calleigh Gill added a 51 and Emma Gill a 55. Sofia Perez and Kolbi Stephenson each finished with 61, and Amaylie Walsh closed the round with a 65. Though the Olympians didn’t come out on top, the match provided valuable reps against one of the state’s toughest squads — experience that should pay dividends later this fall.
