Olympians Battle in Four-Set Loss
The Columbus East volleyball team may have fallen in four sets to Franklin, but the Olympians showed clear growth from their opener earlier in the week. They battled point for point, even claiming the third set, before the Grizzly Cubs sealed it 25-20, 25-19, 16-25, 25-17.
Krea Martin, Anika Jenkins, and Kadence Miller were standouts, contributing with serving runs, kills, and defensive digs that kept the Orange Pit rocking. The young Olympians are still building, but the effort and improvement were easy to see.
Even in defeat, East is proving they can rally together and compete with top-tier opponents. The potential is there, and the progress is happening quickly.
