North Girls Soccer Outlasts Roncalli in High-Scoring Thriller

It was a royal battle at the BCSC Soccer Complex Thursday night, but the Columbus North Bull Dogs defended their home turf with a 4-3 victory over Class 2A No. 16 Roncalli.
The Royals struck first, but North responded like champions, rattling off four straight goals in the first half. Allison Kolhouse led the charge with two tallies, including a penalty kick conversion. Grace Merritt and Grace Bethuram each chipped in goals before halftime to make it 4-1.
Roncalli clawed back with two second-half goals, but the Bulldog back line held firm to secure the win. Now 5-1 on the season, North continues to prove it has plenty of bite on both ends of the pitch.
