Newgarden Blazes Ahead as Fast Friday Approaches
Josef Newgarden continues to flex championship speed at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The two-time reigning Indy 500 winner topped Thursday’s practice charts at 226.632 mph and led all no-tow speeds as well.
As Fast Friday looms, with engines gaining an extra 100 horsepower for qualifying runs, Newgarden leads a tight pack that includes Scott Dixon, Conor Daly, and Pato O’Ward. Qualifying takes place this weekend, and the race is set for Sunday, May 25.
