Mercury Run Past Fever in Road Trip Finale

The Indiana Fever’s four-game road swing ended on a sour note in Phoenix, as the Mercury used a massive third-quarter run to pull away for a 95-60 win Thursday night.
Sophie Cunningham was the bright spot for Indiana, hitting five three-pointers and scoring a season-high 18 points. Kelsey Mitchell added 12, but the Fever shot just 34 percent from the floor and turned the ball over 22 times.
Phoenix was led by DeWanna Bonner’s 23 points, while Alyssa Thomas made league history by becoming the first WNBA player with three consecutive triple-doubles.
The Fever return home Saturday night to host the Chicago Sky, looking to rekindle the spark from their recent five-game win streak.
