Madison Edges Olympians on the Links
It was a tight nine-hole tee-off in Madison, where the Madison Cubs outlasted Columbus East in girls golf, 204-216. While the Olympians fell short on the team card, they still flashed promise with one of their stronger outings of the season.
Abby King led the swing parade with a 51, steady as ever at the top of the East lineup. Calleigh Gill chipped in a 52, Emma Gill carded a 56, while Amaylie Walsh and Sofia Perez rounded things out with 57 and 64, respectively.
Against a Madison team that kept its drives straight and its putts clean, the Olympians showed that their irons are heating up at the right time.
