Logan Walks It Off as East Rallies Past Southport
It was a comeback to remember for the Columbus East Olympians, who rallied from a 6-4 deficit to stun Southport 7-6 with a walk-off win Friday night.
After clawing back with single runs in the fifth and sixth innings, the drama peaked in the seventh. Mackenzie Hampton walked to lead off the inning, moved to second on a bunt, and scored the game-winner on a sharp single from Daisy Logan.
Lola Watkins and Baleigh Fish both doubled, while Fish also pitched in relief alongside Jacque Boroughs to secure the win. The Olympians improve to 9-15.
