Jets Soar Past Spartans with 15-1 Statement Win
Class A No. 6 Hauser broke things open with a six-run third inning and never looked back in a commanding 15-1 win over Southwestern (Shelby) on Wednesday. The Jets exploded for seven more in the fourth to wrap up a five-inning Mid-Hoosier Conference victory.
Left-hander Simeon Wasil was dominant on the mound, striking out 10 and allowing just three hits and one unearned run. He helped his own cause at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI.
RJ Foster drove in two and swiped three bags. Peyton Bennett and Lukas Christian also knocked in two apiece, while Hauser tallied 13 hits overall and four stolen bases. With the win, Hauser moves to 8-3 overall and remains unbeaten in conference play at 7-0.
