Jets Crowned Sectional Champs After Dismantling the Twisters
Hauser 9, Oldenburg Academy 1 – Class A Sectional Championship
The Hauser Jets baseball program officially broke a seven-year drought Monday night with a dominant 9-1 victory over Oldenburg Academy to claim the Class A sectional title at Jac-Cen-Del.
Senior Simeon Wasil was electric on both sides of the ball. He threw a four-hit gem and crushed a two-run homer that helped crack the game open late. Stryker Gill also went a perfect 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs to lead Hauser’s offensive charge.
After Oldenburg took a brief 1-0 lead in the top of the first, Hauser answered immediately with a three-run bottom half and never looked back. The Jets added three more in the fifth and two in the sixth to seal the deal.
The sectional crown is the second for Hauser this school year, after the boys basketball team ended a long drought back in March. Hauser (19-3) will now take on No. 3 Knightstown this Saturday in regional play—site and time to be announced.
