IUC Basketball Teams Fall on the Road Against Union College
Indiana University Columbus men’s and women’s basketball teams faced tough matchups on the road against Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky. The IUC women’s team fell 91-58, despite a solid effort from Amaya Collins, who led with 18 points and added three steals. Sydney Waldron scored 12 points with three rebounds, and Gwen Higdon contributed 11 points, giving the team a boost as they aim to regroup before their next game against Saint Xavier on Monday.
The men’s team also struggled, losing 92-64, though Deante Luster showed offensive strength by leading with 20 points. Bobby Wonnell added impact off the bench with 17 points, providing a spark in the team’s effort. With an 0-5 record, the men’s team is set to compete in the Chick-fil-A Classic this weekend, while both the men’s and women’s teams will make their home debuts on November 14. The women will host Kuyper, and the men will take on Lourdes.
