The Indiana Hoosiers women’s basketball team kicked off Big Ten play with a commanding 75-60 win over Penn State, improving to 7-3 overall and 1-0 in the Big Ten. Senior guard Karoline Striplin stole the show, scoring a career-high 27 points while shooting a perfect 12-for-12 from the field, tying Indiana’s single-game field goal percentage record.
The Hoosiers overcame a slow start, trailing by eight early, but three-point shooting from Yarden GarzonChloe Moore-McNeil, and Shay Ciezki kept them in the game. After entering halftime tied at 30, Indiana took control in the second half. Striplin dominated the third quarter with 13 points, and the team shot 61.5% in the fourth, outscoring Penn State 26-17 to seal the win.
