Historic Playoff Matchup: Hoosiers vs. Irish

History is on the line this Friday as the #10 Indiana Hoosiers take on the #7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the College Football Playoff. IU’s season has been nothing short of magical under AP Coach of the Year Curt Cignetti, who has led the Hoosiers to a school-record 11 wins and their first playoff berth.

The Hoosiers will need every bit of magic to upset Notre Dame on their home turf. Quarterback Kurtis Rourke has been electric this season, throwing for over 10,000 career yards, but he’ll face a tough challenge against Notre Dame’s stout defense. On the other side, Indiana’s defense, led by D’Angelo Ponds, will look to contain Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard, who’s just as dangerous with his legs as he is with his arm.
