Hauser Jets Fly High Across the Diamond and Court
Baseball:
Hauser’s baseball team showed no rust after a rain-induced layoff, blasting past Edinburgh in back-to-back Mid-Hoosier Conference matchups. The Class A No. 5 Jets followed up a 13-0 win Thursday with an 18-0 five-inning victory on Friday. On the mound, Holden Pittman and RJ Foster teamed up for a one-hitter and racked up 14 strikeouts. Lukas Christian led the offensive surge, going 3-for-3 at the plate, while Foster, Stryker Gill, and Simeon Wasil each drove in two runs. The Jets capitalized on ten Lancer errors in Friday’s blowout and improved to 3-0 on the season.
Softball:
Hauser’s softball squad kept the momentum going with a dramatic 6-5 extra-inning win over Edinburgh on Friday, sweeping the Lancers in a two-game series. Lucie Asher delivered the walk-off hit in the bottom of the eighth inning. Kaitlyn Robinson and Haylin Campbell each had doubles and RBIs to power the Jets, who overcame a 3-0 first-inning deficit. Hartwell and Campbell shared pitching duties, with Campbell earning the win in relief.
Girls Tennis:
On the court, Hauser’s girls tennis team picked up their first win of the season Saturday with a 3-2 road victory over Brown County. Singles player Kaydenze Brock and both doubles teams — Manley/Ridgley and Jordan/Berkenstock — claimed straight-set wins, providing a glimpse of the team’s competitive upside moving forward.
