Franklin XC Invite: North Girls Take Title; Day Wins Boys Race as Rested Pack Finishes Runner-Up
Columbus North’s depth was the star of the Franklin Invitational matinee. With the top five boys resting, Joseph Day still owned the front, blazing a 15:34.9 win. Teammates Logan Vanzant (16:00.0) and Rohan Norris (16:06.2) locked top-10 finishes, and the Bull Dogs fell by only five points to Center Grove, 48-53.
On the girls’ course, North raised the trophy with 58 points. The junior trio of Emma Lowther (7th, 19:21.3), Kodi Smith (9th), and Tristan Works (12th) formed a steady lead car, while Ainsley Sherlock and Adira Sluder closed the scoring inside the top 16. It was a clinic in pack running and pace discipline.
