Eagles’ ‘Tush Push’ Makes Preseason Cameo in Win Over Bengals
The defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles kept their trademark short-yardage play alive Thursday night, punching in a fourth-and-goal touchdown with their infamous “tush push” en route to a 34-27 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in preseason action.
The Bengals, who played starters including Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, saw early-season rust but still flashed offensive firepower. Burrow threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns, including a sideline stunner to Chase.
For Cincinnati, the trip to Philly was more about reps than results. They’ll return to action Aug. 18 in Washington, with their eyes on fine-tuning for September.
