Dodgers Douse the Reds in LA
The Cincinnati Reds’ West Coast trip hit turbulence Monday night as the Los Angeles Dodgers blanked them 7–0 at Dodger Stadium.
Young right-hander Emmet Sheehan was sensational for LA, striking out 10 over seven innings while allowing just two hits. At the plate, rookie slugger Andy Pages powered the Dodger attack with two home runs and four RBI.
For Cincinnati (68-64), it was a rare flat night for Hunter Greene, who gave up a pair of long balls in five innings of work. The Reds managed only three hits — one each from Gavin Lux, Austin Hays, and Noelvi Marte.
Despite the setback, the Reds remain the only team in MLB not to be swept in a series this season. They’ll try to bounce back Tuesday with Nick Martinez (10-9) squaring off against Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw (8-2).
