Crusaders Dominate Fortune in Straight-Sets Statement

The Columbus Christian volleyball team wasted no time showing they’re ready to storm through the 2025 season. On the road at Fortune Academy, the Crusaders delivered a masterclass in control and precision, sweeping the match 25-2, 25-7, 25-9.
Bella Frederickson powered the front line with eight kills and four aces, while setter Addison Smith kept the attack humming with 13 assists. Abby Dora was lights-out from the service line, dropping in a staggering 23 aces, and also chipped in 12 assists.
Katie Bond brought six kills and four aces, with Mara Nickerson adding three kills. Emma Rice rounded out the assist column with two.
From start to finish, the Crusaders looked in midseason form, mixing power and placement to keep Fortune on its heels and start the year with a convincing road victory.
