Crimson Pride Volleyball Runs Into National Power
IU Columbus volleyball entered Wednesday’s clash with #22-ranked Marian on a four-game win streak, but the Knights slammed the door with a straight-set sweep.
The Crimson Pride (4-1) showed fight, but Marian’s attack efficiency was the difference. Jada Munro paced IUC with 10 kills, while Ruthie Bingham chipped in seven and Journee Brown added five. Defensively, libero Alyvia Luce anchored the back row with steady play, but Marian’s 42 kills proved too much in the 25-20, 25-16, 25-19 decision.
It was a reality check against elite competition, but with multiple matches ahead in the Showdown in the Woods tournament, IU Columbus has a quick chance to rebound.
