Crimson Pride Slug Their Way to Sweep at Midway
College Softball | Final: IUC 10-8, 4-2 at Midway
IU Columbus softball doubled up on wins in Kentucky, sweeping Midway in a slugfest and a pitcher’s duel on Wednesday.
In Game 1, Mallory Shelton drove in six runs with a triple and a home run, while Emma Chism added a 3-for-4 line with a homer of her own. Justice Cash went the distance through a 12-hit barrage, doing just enough to secure the 10-8 win.
Game 2 was powered by Gracie Holok, who went 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs. Erica Henry was nearly untouchable, scattering five hits and surrendering just one earned run.
The Crimson Pride improve to 10-20 overall and 7-11 in River States Conference play. They’ll return home to CERAland for a Friday doubleheader against Brescia starting at 1:00 p.m.
