Crimson Pride Go 2-1 at “Showdown in the Woods”

At Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, IU Columbus bookended Day One with sweeps and learned plenty in a tight three-set loss to Johnson (TN). Highlights:
  • vs. Great Lakes Christian: Cora Baker (7 kills, 3 aces), Alyvia Luce (13 digs, 3 aces), Olivia Embry (7 kills), Sadie Egan (16 assists).
  • vs. Johnson (TN): Trinity grad Ruthie Bingham (10 kills), Bailey Stevens (17 assists), Luce (18 digs), Egan (3 aces).
  • vs. Mount Mary: Bingham (11 kills), Stevens (17 assists), Baker (4 aces), Luce (11 digs).
At 6-2, the Pride have a sturdy early résumé and a rotation that’s finding its best six.
