Bull Dogs Rally Past Perry Meridian with 12-Run Fifth Inning

Columbus North softball showed no quit on Thursday, flipping the script with a monster fifth inning en route to a 15-7 win over Perry Meridian.
Trailing 5-2, the Bull Dogs exploded for 12 runs in the top of the fifth, turning a back-and-forth contest into a runaway. Miley McClellan led the offensive outburst with three hits and three RBIs, including a double. Ali Wooten tripled and drove in two, Morgan Jarvis added a triple of her own, and Bailee Scruggs and Payton Morris each knocked in a pair.
Scruggs and Morris also handled the work in the circle, combining to limit the Falcons to seven hits. The win moved North to 6-7 on the season.
