Brownstown Invitational: Bull Dogs Battle to 2-2 Day; Cougars Go 3-1

Columbus North (6-6) mixed heavy swings with big blocks in a four-match gauntlet: losses to Brownstown and Jasper, a sweep of Bedford North Lawrence, and a narrow third-set setback to Seymour. Karen Dutro (30 kills, 15 total blocks) was a front-row wrecking ball; Lexi Denny (58 assists) orchestrated tempos; Morgan Osborn vacuumed 34 digs and dropped seven aces. Supporting swings from Sydney Ousley and Elaina Penrod, plus timely roofs by Kaitlyn Olivo, kept North in every rally of a noisy gym day.
Trinity Lutheran (6-5) stacked wins over Seymour and Bloomington South and fell only to host Brownstown. Rachel Bonde blasted 41 kills with five blocks, Bella Wehmiller steered 61 assists and six aces, and Presley Meyer patrolled for 26 digs. The Cougars left with momentum — and receipts — for a deep autumn.
