Volunteers needed for Exhibit Columbus build projects
Exhibit Columbus kicks off the public celebration of its downtown installations in a couple of weeks. But organizers say that they need your help finishing some of the projects.
According to organizers, they need help for a variety of the installations that could involve painting, heavy lifting and folding, but any help would be appreciated.
Among the volunteer opportunities is assistance painting the frames for custom signage at each installation, cleaning up the former Irwin Block building site on Fifth Street so it can be used for an installation called Ellipsis, setting up a dollhouse at the Bartholomew County Public Library Plaza for an installation called Inside Out, and helping with a mosaic at St. Peters Lutheran Church as part of the A View of the World installation.
The fifth cycle of Exhibit Columbus installations with a theme of “Yes And” will kick off next month with a launch weekend on Friday Aug. 15th and Saturday Aug. 16th.
There are volunteer hours scheduled through Tuesday, August 12th. If you would like to help out you can contact Landmark Columbus Operations and Communications Manager Abigail Flout at [email protected] to learn more or to sign up.
You can get more information on all the installations at exhibitcolumbus.org.
