U.S. 50 to see intersection work east of Seymour
You could see traffic tie ups on U.S. 50 east of Seymour, starting today.
According to INDOT, intersection improvement work is starting about one and a half miles east of Seymour between North County Road 1225 East and North County Road 1250 East. The speed limit in the area is being reduced to 45 mph and North County Road 1250 East will be closed at the highway. The eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. 50 will be reduced to 11 feet in width.
The work is expected to last late October. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.
Milestone is the contractor for the $1.9 million project.
