Traffic stop turns to drug arrest for Columbus woman
A Columbus woman was arrested Friday morning on drug charges after a traffic stop.
Columbus police report that they pulled over a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Tausha N. Hendren of Columbus at about 1:25 a.m. Friday morning after she drove through the intersection at 14th and California streets without stopping at a stop sign.
A police dog alerted to the smell of narcotics in the SUV and a search allegedly revealed heroin, pills and drug paraphernalia. Hendren is facing preliminary possession charges.
