State Road 11 closing Monday for work in Seymour

State Road 11 will be closing in downtown Seymour next week as crews work on railroad tracks.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, CSX Railroad has announced that it will be closing State Road 11 and Broadway Street starting on Monday while crews improve the railroad crossing there. The road sill close between Second Street and U.S. 50 through Wednesday, although the work schedule is dependent on the weather.

A detour will take traffic from U.S. 50 to Interstate 65 and then back to State Road 11.

INDOT urges you to slow down, to drive without distractions and to be cautious for worker safety in all work zones.
