Speed Limit to Be Reduced on State Road 3 and State Road 7 in Vernon

INDOT is scheduled to reduce the speed limit on State Road 7 and State Road 3 on or after Tuesday August 12th, in Vernon. The speed limit will reduce from 45 MPH to 30 MPH on S.R 7 and S.R. 3 between County Road 50 East and Jackson Street in Vernon. The speed reduction is intended to improve safety along these roads. Advanced speed limit warning signs as well as speed feedback signs will be installed to help emphasize the change.
INDOT would like to remind drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
