Seymour hosting end of summer event for kids today

Seymour children can celebrate the final days of summer vacation with Seymour Parks and Recreation’s End of Summer Escape and the Jackson County Public Library’s Bubblefest today at Shields Park.

Activities will include bounce houses, bubble related fun, free refreshments and drawings for bicycles and for backpacks filled with school supplies.

The activities will be going on from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Shields Park. The event is free and no registration is required.

The activities are sponsored by Friends of the Library, Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc., Guardian Bikes and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 108’s Cops and Kids program.
