SBA Disaster Assistance Now Available For Private Nonprofits in Bartholomew County
SBA Disaster Assistance is now available for private nonprofits in Bartholomew County and its surrounding areas. Bartholomew County has received a small business administration disaster declaration for the destructive storms and flooding that occurred in late March and April earlier this year. The disaster declaration includes Bartholomew, Brown, and Decatur counties locally. Certain Private Nonprofit organizations affected by these severe weather events may be eligible to apply for low-interest federal disaster loans through the SBA to support their recovery efforts. These loans are used to replace or repair damaged or destroyed real estate, equipment and other property. They are also used to address economic injury resulting from the damage. Eligible organizations can apply online at sba.gov/disaster. Applicants can also call the SBA customer service center at (800) 659-2955.
