Local companies in the running for Coolest Thing made in Indiana
The Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Indiana Destination Development Corporation are looking for your vote tonight in an entirely different competition.
The first round of voting for this year’s Coolest Thing Made IN Indiana competition wraps up at 9 p.m. tonight online. Several local companies are on the list of 90 Hoosier-made products this year. Chamber officials say that the entrants come from more than 50 communities and there are almost twice as many products up for consideration this year as last.
Among the local products on the list are Hiker Trailers and the Déjà Vu Art and Fine Craft Show from Columbus, Honda’s Indiana Auto Plant in Greensburg, Guardian Bike and SpaceGuard Products in Seymour, Hard Truth Distillery and Bear Wallow Distillery in Nashville, Marion-Kay Spices in Brownstown, Not Just Popcorn in Edinburgh and Endress+Hauser in Greenwood. Also on the list is Wood-Mizer Portable Sawmill based in Batesville and Indianapolis.
Guardian Bikes and Hard Truth made it to the semi-final round last year and Hiker Trailers made it into the final 16.
After tonight’s tally, the next round of voting starts tomorrow. The finals will wrap up December 5h with the winner announced at the 2024 Best IN Manufacturing Awards Luncheon on December 11 in Indianapolis. This is the fourth year for the competition,
