ISP Reminds of School Zone Driving Safety/ to Deploy Extra Patrols for Back to School
Schools will soon be back in session and Indiana State Police would like to remind the public of safe driving in school zones. A reminder Always watch for stopped school buses in the morning and afternoon hours and always remember to keep your eyes on the road and be patient driving behind schoolbuses.Always stop for school buses that are loading and unloading children. Never attempt to pass a stopped bus with its sign extended. Avoid using a cell phone, unless it is completely hands free, while driving in school zones. The Indiana State Police and local police will have extra patrols deployed during school hours and will have zero tolerance for those disregarding buses or speeding in school zones.
