Extreme heat lingers with relief possible Wednesday

There is still no break in this string of extremely hot days. A heat advisory is in effect today through 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

Forecasters say that we are looking at a high near 91 this afternoon, but the humidity is going to make that feel like 102 or more.

The break in the string of hot days is not expected until Wednesday, with heat indexes of up to 100 Tuesday afternoon and overnight lows staying in the mid 70s.

The weather services says you should take extra precautions when outside, including wearing lightweight and loose-fitting clothing and limiting any strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
