Drunk driver arrested after I-65 crash
A Louisville man was arrested after a crash in Bartholomew County on Interstate 65 last week.
According to Columbus police reports, officers were called to the scene of the single vehicle accident in the northbound lanes of the interstate near the Walesboro exit at about 10:45 p.m. Thursday night.
The driver, 33-year-old Christopher M. Gordon of Louisville was treated by paramedics for a cut to his head. Police report that there was a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and empty alcohol containers in the vehicle. A breath test at Columbus Regional Hospital showed a .236 percent blood alcohol content, nearly three times the legal limit.
Gordon was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
