Driver crashes into Jennings County garage

A 75-year-old woman crashed her vehicle into a garage on State Road 3 in Jennings County on Wednesday.

According to the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department, rescue workers were called to the accident scene at State Road 3 and County Road 400S at about 6 p.m. Wednesday evening. That’s where they found a car that had left the road and struck a garage. The driver was still inside the vehicle.

The woman was treated at the scene by medics before being taken to a local hospital for her injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. Deputies say that alcohol is believed to be a factor and possible charges are pending.
