Community Wide Recycling Day Announced for October 2nd

Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District has announced their Community Wide Recycling Day.

This free event is scheduled to take place Thursday October 2nd at the Cummins Inc CEP entrance located at 500 Central Ave, from 7AM until 4PM.

Household Recyclables such as cardboard, scrap metal, paper, gently used shoes and clothing will be accepted. Beverage Containers made from Aluminum, glass, steel, and some plastics will also be accepted.

Additionally appliances and electronics, used batteries, paints, chemicals, motor oil, propane and car and truck tires will also be accepted for recycling.

No Styrofoam, Plastic Bags, Bricks, Pavers, Concrete Blocks, Tractor Tires, General Trash, or Wood Waste will be accepted.

Most materials collected will be donated to local Cummins Partners.
