Columbus Man Arrested on Child Pornography and Bestiality Charges

A Columbus man has been arrested for Child Pornography and Bestiality after a two month investigation.

The Indiana State Police -Internet Crimes Against Children Section arrested Brian Willment, age 45, of Columbus on Tuesday.

After receiving a tip, Detective Robert Whyte began the investigation.

The Child Rescue Coalition assisted Det. Whyte and they identified the suspect.

A search warrant was served at Willment’s residence, where additional evidence related to the possession of child sex abuse material was allegedly discovered.

The suspect was arrested on 10, Level-5 felony charges of possession of child pornography and bestiality. He was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail and incarcerated pending an initial court appearance.

Investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force were assisted by the Columbus Police Department, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, and Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office.

ISP oversees the Indiana ICAC Task Force, a multiagency team that investigates and prosecutes persons who use the internet to exploit or entice children sexually. It encourages Hoosiers to report online exploitation, solicitation, and enticement-type crimes against kids to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
