Columbus firefighters holding food drive Saturday at Kroger

Columbus firefighters are kicking off a new partnership to help local food banks this weekend.

According to the Columbus Fire Department, the firefighters are partnering with Love Chapel and Salvation Army food banks for a donation drive on Saturday at the Columbus Kroger store. The drive is meant to help local food banks during Hunger Action Month and the Firefighters Fighting Hunger initiative is endorsed by the Indiana State Fire Marshal.

You will be able to meet with Columbus firefighters and food bank representatives, and take a shopping list of the most needed non perishable food items for local food banks. You can then tailor your contributions to help fill the need.
