Bridge work Saturday to close I-65 lane, ramp

You could see lanes and a ramp closing near the Interstate 65 bridge over Jonathan Moore Pike in Columbus this weekend as crews work on bridge joints in the area.

According to INDOT, crews will be working on the bridge over Driftwood River, replacing bridge joints, Saturday evening. That is just north of the bridge over State Road 46. The work is expected to start around 9 p.m. and to take just that night. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.

The northbound ramp onto I-65 will be closed during the work as well as the right lane of northbound I-65 over the river.

INDOT reminds you to slow down, to drive without distractions and to use extra caution to worker safety in all work zones.
