A Jackson County road project on a bridge over Interstate 65 is being pushed back.

According to INDOT, Jackson County Road 600S will now be closing September 22nd while crews work on the bridge east of Crothersville. The work was originally set to start on Monday, Sept. 15th.

There will also be intermittent lane closures on Interstate 65 while the work is going on.

The work is expected to last until late October. The work schedule is dependent on the weather.

The work is part of a $6.8 million dollar contract awarded to E&B Paving.

INDOT reminds you to slow down, to drive without distractions and to use extra caution to worker safety in all work zones.
