Indiana Corn Rated 69% Good to Excellent, Soybeans 67%

Indiana farmers are at the planting finish line with 93% of corn and 90% of soybeans in the ground according to USDA’s weekly Crop Progress report. Corn is 81% emerged across the state while soybeans are 75% emerged.

Hoosier corn is rated 69% good to excellent with only 7% rated poor to very poor. Indiana soybeans are rated 67% good to excellent with only 6% rated poor to very poor.

Nationally, corn planting is 97% complete and boasts a 74% good to excellent rating. Soybean planting is 90% finished and holds a good to excellent rating of 72%.

Indiana winter wheat is rated 73% good to excellent.
