HAT and Purdue Extension Team Up to Create Podcast Network

In a new effort to connect with Indiana communities, Purdue Extension has partnered with Hoosier Ag Today to launch a brand-new podcast network called — Hoosier Ag Today presents YOUR Purdue Extension.

The network features four monthly podcasts, each spotlighting one of Purdue Extension’s core program areas. The names of the four different podcasts are: 4H4U which spotlights 4-H youth development, Your Farm which highlights agriculture and natural resources, Your Health showcasing health and human Sciences, and Your Community focusing on community development.

Assistant Director of Extension, 4-H Youth Development, Casey Mull was the first guest on the new 4H4U Podcast where he discussed his humble beginnings.

“It all started in the fifth grade when my 4-H agent came into my 5th grade classroom,” Mull says. “She taught us about the Land Grant University system and how 4-H was tied to the Land Grant University system and in that first 4-H club I was elected an officer and helped with the 4-H pledge in my 5th grade classroom.”

Each episode of each podcast will bring expert insights, real-life stories, and practical advice from Purdue Extension educators across the state — helping Hoosiers stay informed, healthy, and engaged in their communities.

During the inaugural 4H4U podcast, Mull and 4H4U podcast host Greg Allen had a great conversation about each of the four H’s.

Mull wrapped up his visit saying, “We look forward to sharing more about the 4-H program in depth over the coming weeks and months through this podcast.”

You can find this and all of the new podcasts in video form on the Hoosier Ag Today Facebook and YouTube socials and in audio wherever you listen to your podcasts. Watch 4H4U below!
