Grand Champions Awarded During 4-H Grand Drive at Indiana State Fair

It’s the moment that many Indiana 4-H members dream about! This year, six 4-H’ers took home the Grand Champion prize for their livestock during the Indiana State Fair’s 4-H Grand Drive—Presented by Farm Credit Mid-America.

The Grand Champions for each species awarded on Sunday evening were:

  • Grand Champion Market Barrow: Hadley Hendrickson, Randolph County (Crossbred)
  • Grand Champion Market Lamb: Gabrielle Route, Clinton County (Blackface Cross)
  • Grand Champion Meat Goat Wether:  Caroline Sullivan, Hancock County
  • Grand Champion Meat Goat Wether Dam: Spencer Goettemoeller, Randolph County
  • Grand Champion Beef Heifer: Kiptyn Felton, Huntington County (Sim-Solution)
  • Grand Champion Beef Steer: Redmin Brumbaugh, DeKalb County (Crossbred)

 

Reserve Champions (2nd place) were awarded to:

  • Reserve Champion Market Barrow: Ryder Lambright, LaGrange County (Crossbred)
  • Reserve Champion Market Lamb: Jack Huelsenbeck, Noble County (Blackface Cross)
  • Reserve Champion Meat Goat Wether: Caroline Sullivan, Hancock County (not a typo, she won both)
  • Reserve Champion Meat Goat Wether Dam: Piper Unger, Sullivan County
  • Reserve Champion Beef Heifer: Hogan Hendrickson, Randolph County (Maine-Anjou)
  • Reserve Champion Beef Steer: Piper Unger, Sullivan County (Simmental)
